From the Atlas to your home
We travel the valleys of the High and Middle Atlas to meet women’s cooperatives. Each rug is chosen on the loom where it is born, then washed in spring water and dried in the sun before taking the road.
From wool to home
The wool
Shearing, washing and carding the virgin wool of Atlas sheep.
The dye
Natural pigments — pomegranate, henna, indigo, madder — for living tones.
The loom
Mounting the warp on the vertical loom, the rug’s first breath.
The knotting
Knot after knot, over weeks, the pattern takes shape under the fingers.
The sun
Washed in clear water and dried slowly in the sun, on the terraces.
Those who weave

Our rugs are the work of Amazigh weavers who pass their motifs down through generations. Working with them means a fair income and the preservation of an ancient gesture.
